Recently, the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) released its highly anticipated Annual Report for the year 2023. This report serves as a comprehensive overview of the global drug situation, highlighting the efforts made by various countries in combating the menace of narcotics. Pakistan, in particular, has reaffirmed its commitment to tackling this issue head-on.
His Excellency Aftab Ahmad Khokhar, the Ambassador of Pakistan, extended his felicitations to the INCB on the launch of its 2023 Report. In doing so, he emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering dedication to the fight against narcotics. The country recognizes the grave consequences of drug abuse on individuals, families, and society as a whole.
Pakistan has been actively engaged in implementing a multi-faceted approach to combat the drug problem within its borders. The government has taken significant steps to strengthen law enforcement agencies, enhance border control measures, and improve international cooperation in intelligence sharing and capacity-building.
