This initiative aims to empower women and girls in the field of space exploration by encouraging them to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and careers. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the World Customs Organization have joined forces to establish the Women’s Network Initiative. This initiative encourages female customs and law enforcement officials to participate in training and leadership programs, particularly in the areas of combating illicit goods like drugs and weapons.
