The sitting of Governorates der IAEA, held from November 22nd to 24th, 2023, at the United Nations Building in Vienna, addressed several pressing issues related to the Middle East crisis and nuclear concerns. The meeting began with journalists being granted permission to take photos before the session was closed.

At around 13:30, a press conference was held, during which journalists raised questions primarily about the Iran crisis and the control problem. Additionally, there were inquiries about the nuclear reactors in Brazil and the recent threat made by an Israeli Minister to nuke Gaza. The journalists were keen to understand the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) reaction to these developments.

Following the press conference, representatives from Arabic countries gathered outside the Press room to hold their own press conference. The focus of their discussion was the ongoing conflict in the Middle East between Israel and Palestine, specifically addressing the threat made by the Israeli Minister to nuke Gaza. All the representatives condemned the bombing of Gaza and the genocide of innocent against civilians, including children and women, as they said. The threat of a nuclear attack on Gaza was considered a significant turning point, as it was seen as the first acknowledgment of Israel possessing nuclear weapons.
