Wenn ein Klangkörper wie die Wiener Symphoniker ein solches Jubiläum feiert, stellt dies mehr dar als einen blassen Festakt. Es ist ein Rückblick auf über ein Jahrhundert musikalischer Leidenschaft, ein Bekenntnis zur Gegenwart und ein Ausblick auf die Zukunft. Im Herbst 2025 erreicht die Jubiläumssaison ihren Höhepunkt mit einer Vielzahl an Konzerten, Premieren, einer Goldmünze und einer Europa-Tournee, die das Orchester durch verschiedene Städte führt.
Die Rückkehr zu den Wurzeln
Am 29. und 30. Oktober kehren die Wiener Symphoniker an ihren Standort im Musikverein Wien zurück, wo im Jahr 1900 alles seinen Anfang nahm. Unter der Leitung von Chefdirigent Petr Popelka werden zwei Festkonzerte stattfinden, die das musikalische Erbe der Wiener Symphoniker in den Mittelpunkt stellen. Mit Werken von Wagner, Ravel, Berg und Mozart wird ein facettenreicher Bogen von der Romantik über die Moderne bis hin zur Wiener Klassik gespannt. Diese Darbietung reflektiert nicht nur die Geschichte des Orchesters, sondern auch seine künstlerische Handschrift.
Ein Fest für die Sinne
Das Orchester wird dabei von den herausragenden Solistinnen Hanna-Elisabeth Müller und Anna Vinnitskaya begleitet. Müller wird Bergs „Sieben frühe Lieder“ interpretieren, während Vinnitskaya Ravel beehren wird. Die Konzerte werden von ORF III aufgezeichnet und am 2. November ausgestrahlt, damit auch alle, die nicht live anwesend sein können, in den Genuss der musikalischen Darbietung kommen.
Dieses Jubiläum ist somit ein lebendiger Dialog mit der Vergangenheit und ein markantes Versprechen für die Zukunft der Wiener Symphoniker.
