Pakistani Journalist Muhammad Amir Siddique Honored with Ambassador of World Peace Award in Austria

In a prestigious ceremony held in Vienna, Austria, senior journalist and columnist Muhammad Amir Siddique was honored with the Ambassador of World Peace Award for his exceptional contributions to journalism and his efforts in promoting humanity, peace, and order in the international community. This distinguished accolade makes Siddique the first Pakistani journalist to receive this esteemed recognition.

The Ambassador of World Peace Award was presented to Siddique by Peter Haider, the President of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), during a Pre-Christmas celebration organized by the Föderation für Weltfrieden – UPF Universal Peace Federation, Austria. The event took place on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Seidengasse 28/4 im Hof rechts, 1070 in Vienna, the capital of Austria.

The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) is a global network of individuals and organizations dedicated to fostering peace, freedom, harmony, cooperation, and prosperity worldwide. It recognizes that peace is not merely the absence of war but an essential quality that should permeate all aspects of human relationships.

The Ambassador for Peace network is the largest and most diverse group of peace leaders, comprising Ambassadors of Peace from 160 countries. These individuals, representing various races, religions, nationalities, and cultures, pledge to promote understanding, overcome barriers, and build peace. They create a global network that reflects the diversity of the human family and encompasses all areas of endeavor. Ambassadors of Peace strive to foster cooperation beyond the boundaries of religion, race, ethnicity, and nationality, while embodying the guiding principle of “living for others” to build a global community.

Expressing his gratitude upon receiving the award, Muhammad Amir Siddique emphasized the significant role journalists play in sustainable development, particularly in promoting peace. Despite challenging circumstances, Pakistani journalists have diligently fulfilled their professional duties and contributed to the betterment of society. Siddique highlighted the responsibility that comes with being a journalist, stating that true journalists foster national unity, dignity, and values by promoting awareness and consciousness in society. Describing journalism as a sacred profession, he stressed the importance of presenting issues and events in their proper context.

Siddique further acknowledged the vital role played by overseas Pakistani journalists in upholding and promoting Pakistan’s image around the world. He commended their continuous efforts in creating awareness and fostering social consciousness. Recognizing the media as the foundation of society, Siddique emphasized its role in providing information, raising awareness, and fulfilling the curiosity of individuals. Journalists serve as the voice of the common people, conveying their concerns and aspirations to the relevant authorities. They fearlessly expose societal vices, even at the risk of their own lives.

Journalism has always been essential, and its significance cannot be denied. Siddique dedicated his award to all the journalists who have faithfully fulfilled their responsibilities and brought global recognition to Pakistan. He particularly honored those journalists who have made the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives while performing their duties.

Through his exceptional journalistic services, Muhammad Amir Siddique has not only made Pakistan proud but has also contributed to the global pursuit of peace and harmony. His recognition as the Ambassador of World Peace serves as a testament to his unwavering dedication and commitment to the noble profession of journalism.

As we celebrate Siddique’s achievements, let us recognize the crucial role played by journalists worldwide in promoting understanding, highlighting societal issues, and working towards a more peaceful and harmonious world.

I wanted to clarify that some of the spelling variations you’ve noticed may stem from the use of British English rather than American English. Words like “colour,” “organise,” or “centre,” for example, are perfectly correct in British usage but can appear as misspellings to readers more familiar with American conventions.
That said, I’ll definitely review the posts again to ensure consistency and correct any genuine errors. I’m glad to hear you enjoy the site overall, and I look forward to welcoming you back soon.
